My task today was to write a review about the novel 'Thirteen Reasons Why' by Jay Asher.
The book includes discussion of rape, underage drinking, sexism, revenge and survivor's guilt. The novel is written for kids ages 12 and up. In my opinion it's really important for teens to read books like 'Thirteen Reason Why', and to realize that our actions really can and do make a difference. 'Thirteen Reasons Why' also incorporates serious problems that many people today have to deal with. On account of this the novel is really touching because the characters are teens like us. There are also positive messages about the importance of treating people with kindness. So in the end I want to say that I really like the novel 'Thirteen Reasons Why', because I can identify with Hannah and her problems. I also like the spelling style from Jay Asher.
